The story of Vintage & Cie logically begins with… a glass of wine… in 2006. Louis Duquesne, a young French businessman is poured a fantastic Latour 45 at a dinner with a few wine loving friends. It is love at first sight. Louis immediately buys a case, then 3 then a hundred… of the most prestigious wines, and the best vintages. In 2010, Vintage & Cie is founded in order to manage this rapidly growing collection. In September 2014, Le Cercle by Vintage & Cie opens its doors near l’Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Wine lovers in the French capital or buyers on-line finally have a direct access to great wines, stored in a perfect condition. Nowhere else in France nor in Europe can a wine-enthusiast walk into a luxury store and be presented with a 4.5 Litres Réhoboram of Château Latour 1961 or a bottle of Henri Jayer’s Cros Parantoux 1982. Thanks to Le Cercle by Vintage & Cie, these iconic bottles can be reached without obscure intermediaries.
Who we are
What makes Vintage & Cie so unique is its incredible collection of iconic bottles: Château Margaux 1900, a Jeroboam of La Romanée Conti 1964, a case of La Chapelle 1961, a vertical of Château Rayas… In most instances, we own the only available bottle in the world. While others may list wines that they don’t physically own, we only advertise what we store in our own cellars.
Besides, we offer a broad selection of ready to drink, mature wines from Bourgogne, from Bordeaux, from Champagne and from the Rhône.
We also take pride in our very selective offer of upcoming, young and talented winemakers based in classic wine regions.
Ultimately, we offer a very sharp selection of Cognac, Whisky, Rhum and vintage spirits.
What you see is what you get: all the photographs published on our website and on-line boutique are original photographs, taken in our cellars from actual bottles.
